Dr. Kyle Rausch currently serves as Executive Director of the Study Abroad Office for the University of Illinois at Chicago where he works with a team of international educators in helping one of the United States’ most diverse public institutions increase access to education abroad. Prior to his work at UIC, Kyle served as Director of Education Abroad at Purdue University Northwest and worked at Arizona State University, managing the university’s faculty-directed programs team. Together with his staff, they helped increase the number of programs from 40 to over 120, expanding access and bringing ASU into the top 10 of U.S. institutions sending students abroad. Kyle also worked at Florida State University’s International Programs office where he led student groups to France, provided immigration oversight for outbound travelers, and opened and managed the university’s Passport Acceptance Facility. Kyle earned a Doctorate of Education in Leadership & Innovation from ASU for his research on supporting first-generation college students in study abroad and holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in French and International Affairs. Kyle currently serves as a member of the Forum on Education Abroad’s Council and on advisory boards for a few education abroad organizations.
